what is this difference between these registry keys...?

Question
-
Aside from being a different string, can someone tell me what the difference between this registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-21-2012730525-165812760-176978886-1000
and this one:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-18
I see that under both of these are previously installed software, but why would one program be installed under one key versus the other?
Thanks, and if someone could direct this to the appropriate forum I would appreciate it.

One is probably the local system account (NT authority) while the other is a user account
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList
