onecare scanning cd

i am running onecare on vista pc. I insert CD with pictures and it looks like it is scanning the cd and cannot access the pictures. I waited 15 minutes and could never view the files. Rebooted several times. How do you turn off or change the behavior?Wednesday, May 13, 2009 7:19 PM

I would suspect Vista is having a problem reading the files on the CD and this is not a One Care issue. You might find help with this in the Vista forums - http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/default.aspx

If you turn off One Care virus and spyware protection can you access the photos on the CD?

No - I turned off the virus/spyware and still had the same result. It still shows a green progress bar in the header of the file explorer window that takes forever to go from left to right. Is that onecare or vista?
