Marketing Lists CRM 2011: Possible to exclude members in search RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

Is it possible to filter Marketing list members in advanced search in the following way?

Marketing List A contains contacts, so does marketing list B. I would like the result to the members of list A that are not on list B. I've tried over and over again but I always seem to get all the members from list A in my result, no matter how I try to shift around the layout of the query. It is like the "Does not equal" List B-choise wouldn't apply after the "Equals" List A-choise is met. I assume this is somekind of a limitation, how have you solved similar problems if you have ran in to them?

    BR,

    Janne

  • HI Janne,

You are right. This is a limitation of advanced find. there is no NOT IN operator in fetchxml.

You can acheive your desired results by ssrs reports.

  • Hi Janne,

You could create a third marketing list, add all the members of list A. Then remove the users using List B (remove users using advanced find or something like that, cant remember the exact option since i am not infront of CRM).

Now the third marketing list will have just the members of A-B

Not a perfect solution, but works :)
