Testing the WLOC Circle Monitoring RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I found a really if your bored test/trick goto the remote pc run the *Onecaresupport then run back to the hub when the support checks the firewall it shuts it off for a second and the Hub pc shows it going off then back on. Kind of a way to see if your circle is up and running.

*OneCareSupport is located in C:\Programs\Microsoft Windows Live One Care\OneCareSupport.exe

  • Hi Mikro,

Just a thought. Wouldn't it be simpler to turn off the phishing filter in IE on a manage pc? Then watch hub and manage pc go yellow with a action item?

  • The Idea is to just trigger a event then have it resume.

The way I sugguest does that and gives you time to run to the Hub pc to see something Happen

  • Hi Mikro,

Good point, I found this information from the link to Channel9 Wiki that NeerajGarg had posted in another topic. It was simple, quick and it was interesting to watch both pcs go to yellow instantly. But then my two pcs can be in seen next to each other.
