Visual Studio 2013 Ultimate with Windows Phone 8 RRS feed

    Greetings,

    I am running Window 7 64 with Visual Studio 2013 Ult.  I am attempting to install the Windows Phone 8 tools and have followed the links.  After installing the first download on https://dev.windowsphone.com/en-us/downloadsdk.  When opening VS2013 I find no Phone 8 template appears on new file dialog.  One link suggested the 8.0SDK.  But the install is blocked calling for Windows 8 or later 64bit machine.  Also, some installs show a Phone 8 SDK option during installation (see: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/vstudio/en-US/04b0878c-9468-4b65-864b-caef562735fe/visual-studio-2013-ultimate-no-template-for-windows-phone-8-app-development?forum=visualstudiogeneral).  I have no such option from with the orifinal VS2013 install nor the SDK/

    Also, I have VS2012 ULT on another system.  When I follow links for 2012 tools I am taken to the same 2013 screen with no 2012 tools. 

    How can I get Phone 8 dev tools on either VS2012 or VS2013 using Windows 7?

    I am giving a class (hopefully) on Phone 8 development Monday and hope for a quick solution.

    I am afraid that the issue is out of support range of VS General Question forum which mainly discusses the usage of Visual Studio IDE such as WPF & SL designer, Visual Studio Guidance Automation Toolkit, Developer Documentation and Help System and Visual Studio Editor.

    you have to update windows 8 because windows phone 8 only supports in windows 8.
