I move between machines a lot and I really need to be able to save my drafts and posts in another location besides My documents\My Weblog Posts You could do this by hacking the registry on the previous version of Writer, but I don't see the same registry keys in 2009. Has anyone figure this out and can give me a clue. I would really love to save it to a location such as Live Office or Skydrive, but I would settle for just being able to save them to a thumb drive.
Have you considered using Live Mesh to sync the folder across multiple machines? If you think that solution will work for you, send me an email at bturner@microsoft.com so I can explain one 'gotcha' when using this method. -Brandon Turner [MSFT]
If you don't use the same logon on all machines and and the application/content is path sensitive (images etc) it doesn't work. I have "non-profile path" folders in my Mesh for this reason and save blog posts, done with BlogJet, to a consistent folder.- Robin
