Complaint about windows 10 update 12-4-18 RRS feed

  • Question

  • My new computer with window 10 was updated, again, last Thursday to Friday and immediately thereafter began to run very slowly, displayed a message while I was online that a problem had been found at which time it shut down, without being able to boot up the PC after that.

Due to this I have lost many hours of work on the PC which I couldn't access to save or back up.  As well the only solution found by the IT technitcan where I purchased the computer, very recently, turned out to be reformatting the hard drive and reintallling the system, which had been lost.  Not only did I lose  a lot of my work, incurred expense for the repair, become concerned over the sizable investment I had just made in the computer itself, remain unable to reinstall the drivers, but I now feel the concern for the likelihood of the same or similar happening again, as the updates are sent and installed automatically, with out needing any permissions on my behalf.  As it seems that no solutions to this problem have been offered by Microsoft, I would like to know that you are aware of these incidents and manners to avoid these situations are being taken for the future so that windows 10 users can be confident with installing the updates.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

  • Hi,

If some updates cause a trouble, we should remove them or revert/recover to the old normal state.
I suppose Microsoft think our (users') environment as testing field, i.e. bugs are reported to MS, MS fixes them, but they cause a new bug.... this cycle will continue (over and over).
