  • Question

  • Okay, so you are uploading a file to the Live Desktop manually using your web browser.
When you access a file on the Live Desktop, you need to download that file to the PC. When you double click the PDF file in a Live Mesh folder on the Live Desktop, your web browser plug-in for PDF files should kick in to handle the opening of the file. The file will download to your temporary Internet Files folder locally and then launch your PDF handler, typically Adobe Acrobat.
Can you access other PDF files on the web and they open automatically?
If you choose to download the file and save it to your hard drive, does it save as a PDF file? Can it then be opened?

  • I'm not sure that I understand your issue.
If you access the Live Desktop from a Windows 7 PC and access a PDF file, you need a program that knows what a PDF file is, such as Adobe Acrobat reader.
What do you mean by "Download PDF files to Live Mesh?"

  • I upload a PDF file to live mesh from my "C" drive. When I then go back into live mesh, the file is there but it will not open when I click on the file.

  • Stephen,

Thank you. When I double click the file, it automatically places the file in the download folder.

    Thanks again,
