Pop-up editors (Url, Code block) don't work

Question
-
The pop-up editors for Urls and code blocks almost never work for me - I just get a little window that eventually displays a timeout error.
A typical URL for the pop-up window is:
IE8, Windows Server 2008 R2 x64, up to date on all patches. Running with or without compatbility mode turned on doesn't make any difference.

Try adding the following URLs to the IE Trusted sites:
http://social.microsoft.com
http://social.technet.microsoft.com
http://social.answers.microsoft.com
http://i1.social.microsoft.com
http://i2.social.microsoft.com
http://i3.social.microsoft.com
http://i4.social.microsoft.com
Internet Options -> Security -> Trusted Sites -> Uncheck "Require server verification (https:)".

Test to see if that helped....
class DoesItWorkNow { }
That does seem to have fixed the problem, thanks! Unbelievable that they'd have things set up so that IE8 with out of the box settings doesn't work correctly with the forums software.
