Hi out there, I just tried to convert a .tif-pano file with about 2,5gb. HDmake(Command-line within Windows XP SP3, Laptop of a friend with 2GB RAM) reports an error and continued working. As I viewed the result in silverlight or deepzoom it displayed the top 80% of the panorama ok and the bottom 20% are rippled. The tif is generated by PS CS4 and all tif-files <2gb are processed without any errors. So I tried to get and convert the pano (73 pictures, camera: EOS 7D) with ICE. But ICE can't stitch 3 of the pictures at the middle of the pano cause there are only white snow-plains on it, so I stitch the photos using Autopano, save the result as *.psb. After opening within PS CS4 I saved the pano as a .tif-file. The .tif results in 2,53gb (8Bit without any layers).
Are there any sugestions how to create the DeepZoom or Silverlight-files? I had tryed to convert the pano using PS CS4 on my desktop-pc using the plugin, but there is Win 7 installed :-( afer 64% it fails. The error is described in this forum.
Hdmake has an option called -srcgrid that allows you to create the HDView tile set using several source images. So if you divide/cut your Pano into several smaller images, HDmake will reassemble them while creating the HDView Tileset.
To get the syntax of the srcgrid option just type hdmake in a command prompt window it will list all the options.
