New Installation on Windows Server 2012 - Updates not downloaded

Question
-
Hi,
I can tell from a 2008R2 development system that the Update Rollup 13 for CRM 2011 is available via Windows/Microsoft Update.
KB article for UR13 states that the CRM setup will pull necessary setup files from Windows Update when installing on Win Server 2012. This isn't true at least for my test machine with Server 2012, SQL 2012 (all german); "no updates found, you are using the latest setup files".
I've started setup "as admin", the prerequisites are installed and then the setup window just disappears, while SetupServer.exe remains running (now for about 20 minutes, I don't think it'll reappear ;) )
Has anybody tried installation on Server 2012 yet?
Thanks, regards

Microsoft Dynamics CRM Compatibility List
*****The Self-Healing Setup (SHS) that is needed for the installation on Windows Server 2012 will be published along-side Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Update Rollup 13 on Microsoft Update mid to late April, 2013.
Looks like you might have to wait a little it before installing on Windows Server 2012

Have you checked the install logs to see where it might be hung up?

I just finished installing CRM 2011 on Windows Server 2012 for a development sandbox. While there isn't an updated server installer available from Microsoft Download (and I'm not sure if there even will be), the SHS package published on April 8th does provide the capability needed for updating the installation files. I've documented the required steps in the following blog post:
