MS Office - Valid and Genuine last week - now not genuine?

Question
-
Hi there, this seems like a very lively topic...
The Office Pro I recently bought (reputable supplier) was valid and passed MGA test last week, but does not pass this week.
Additionally, the Office Pro (2002) I bought in or around 2003(?) which has been valid since MGA was introduced (I accepted MGA as soon as it was offered) is apparently now no longer genuine...hmmmmm. Also, apparently MS Office Pro 2002 has now not been activated.
Is it likely that there is a conflict, as I installed Off Pro 2007 over the top of 2002, and I noted some strange items when installing - ie, Outlook would not over-write the 02 version, and Word 2002 is still there, apparently not validated...but also Off Pro o2 is still there on the machine, even though it does not show up in any software search or manual scroll through the program and application files...
Any suggestions would be handy, because I am pretty frustrated with this, and about to format the main drive and re-install from the ground up...
Yours, Ugly as always,
Pig

Pigugly,
According to the mgadiag report, your Office 2007 Professional Plus installation is nongenuine. Please remove it from your computer as soon as possible. Did your purchase of Office 2007 from the "reputable supplier" include genuine-looking Microsoft hologrammed CDs and a Certificate of Authenticity?
Regarding Office XP (aka Office 2002), recently the forum has been seeing a large number of posts from those who had a long-activated installation of Office XP suddenly become not activated, and such not activated status would prevent the download of Templates from Microsoft.com.
I have copied from a Stephen Holm post to another forum user who had similar symptoms. Please follow the instructions and then post back to let us know how you did:
Thank you for visiting the Office Genuine Advantage (OGA) program forum. Your issue appears to be outside the scope of the OGA program forum. In an attempt to assist I would like to provide the following:
Open My Computer located on your desktop.
Go to: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Office\Data\
NOTE: The application data file may be hidden. Use the Tools drop down menu do the following: Folder Options->View->Hidden Files and Folders->Show Hidden Files and Folders to show the folder. Please re-hide the files once you have completed all the steps.
Right click data.dat file, then click Delete.
The data.dat file is for Office, Not OGA.
Once the file has been deleted, open an Office application such as MS Word and activate it.
If product activation was successful try the Office Validation located here:
