KB2630434 - Issue 4 Remote access permissions.

Question
-
I have just rebuilt WHS 2011. I see rollup 4 but not rollup 2. Can I assume that 2 is integral in 4? If yes issue 4 should be resolved but I cannot see how you set the permissions. I want to give remote access to a person of videos only not photos or music. I thought this had been resolved or is it still a DLNA issue.
Sorry if in wrong place but old and new to this.

You can enable the "Media Library" on the remote web access page on a per user selection. It is however all or nothing (and Pictures and Music and Videos or none of them)
A work around is to disable media access for the user and enable access to the shared video folder only. Then he/she can access the video folder in the Shared Folders on the remote web access page. He/she must then download the video files in order to view them.

If you mean remote access from the internet, you set permissions per folder in the Dashboard, Users, Account Properties, Shared Folders. If you mean streaming on your local network, that's a DLNA issue!

Hi Phil,
Thank you for your response. I was referring to remote access over the internet. The issue I have is that I want to access all media folders and others just one. Issue 4 in KB2630434 implies this is possible. Have I read that wrong?
