Information about SSIS, SSAS, SSRS certification RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I've now gained 1.5 years experience in SSIS, SSAS and SSRS. I would like to acquire a certiifcation in this area.

I already read that it also involves knowing tabular (+DAX) and that the certification is a combination of the entire stack (not just SSIS seperate etc, ...). This is true so far?

I would like to know what are the best books/tutorials I can find to prepare/study for these subjects.

    I read about the book

    http://www.amazon.com/dp/0735626367/?tag=stackoverfl08-20

Is there a newer version available for 2012, I can't find it? Is this also needed for the SSIS, SSAS, SSRS certification?

    Thanks in advance!

  • To get certified fot SSIS, SSAS and SSRS, you will need to take lot of SQL exams.

First step would be taking 70-461, 70-462 and 70-463 to get MCSA: SQL Server

After that you can take 2 paths for MCSE, Data Platform and Business Intelligence

Each MCSE certificate requires MCSA plus 2 additional exams.

There is tons of materials for you to learn from.

There are great tutorials on MVA like this or this , there are books at Microsoft Press Store like this or trainig kits ,

there are some great tutorials at CBT Nuggets .

All of these links are just examples, you can find a lot more on those pages about topics you want to cover.

Today is very easy to find materilas to learn from.
