  • Question

  • Hi,

I currently have windows 2000 professional and for obvious reasons I need to upgrade.  What do I need to buy in order to bring my home computer up to today's current models?

    Hi,

First, I think you posted in the wrong forum. =)

You are eligible to buy an upgrade copy of Windows Vista but you need to do a clean install (it is not possible for an in-place upgrade). There is no upgrade path, however, from Windows 2000 to Windows 7. As mentioned in the other post, you should use Vista Upgrade Advisor to check if your current hardware can run on Windows Vista.

  • Are you looking to update your certification or upgrade your computer?

For Vista certification you should complete 70-620 and 70-622.

For Seven certification you should complete 70-680 and 70-685 and/or 70-686.

Unless you want to be XP Certified as well (70-270).
