Windows Home server shows Backup error at approximately 8% progress on three different systems.
The error text is:
"The backup failed because of a problem accessing a file on Windows Home Server. The event log on the Server contains more details"
Have done "Backup Repair" utility without any change - still get an error at the 8% progress indication.
Thank you,

Go to Dashboard> Computers and Backup> Right click on the name of the computer to backed up and click on customize backup for the computer. Uncheck every box except one. Run backup and see if that works. If it does, then one of the checked boxes is not available to be backed up. If any boxes say offline, these are not available to be backed up.

Hi,
did you take a look into the event log on the server? The errors listed there eventually should give a good pointer about what is the culprit.
Often a file is damaged, or faulty sectors on the disk are spreading into one of the related files. Sometimes a repair may solve the issue, more often deleting the entire backup database and redo all backups from the scratch is the better way.
Best greetings from Germany
