Tracking table in Microsoft Sync Framework RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

My Sync Framework creates Sync.TableName_tracking table on Sql Server 2008.Can I get any significance of this table?

A particular set of columns are created like  update_scope_local_id,create_scope_local_id and sync_row_is_tombstone.

May I know the significance of these columns.

  • sync framework uses that to record changes. without it, sync framework wont be able to determine what has changed since the last sync.

  • i wont advise meddling with these columns, but you can find them in the docs...

the tombstone is flag to indicate its a deleted row, the other two i think flags the peer where the row was created and updated...
