Motherboard Upgrade Issues RRS feed

  • Question

  • I upgraded my motherboard and now my Windows7 Retail won't start.

I have all the original Windows7 PRO installation disks.

Startup Repair does not fix the problem.

If I boot with the original DVD, will it fix the problem.

I do not want to loose my original install or my applications.

  • Unfortunately, if your new motherboard is not similar to the old motherboard's chipset, a "clean install" is going to be required.
