Windows 7 Enterprise Activation Issues - KMS RRS feed

  • Hi,

    Several computers in our enterprise are getting "Windows 7 is not genuine" activation errors.  I've attached the MGADiag info from one of the computers.  Any ideas?

  • It looks to me to be a DNS problem - the problem machines are attempting to activate at the MS servers, rather than the KMS Host.

     Make sure that the DNS for activation is pointing to the correct Host machine, and isn't blocked by a firewall.

  • The KMS host is functioning properly, as far as I can tell.  There are thousands of entries (Event ID 12290) showing successful activations for the majority of computers.

    I did find the Event ID 12290 for this particular computer and it shows:
