  • Question

  • Im using Windows XP SP2 and when I try to use windows update, it gives me an "Error number: 0x8DDD0007". So I did what it said: Go into regedit and delete the folder RebootRequired. It lets me get into the windows update to select the patches to download and install. However, although it downloads the files, it comes up with "Updates were unable to be successfully installed." no matter what I do. I then tried installing the patches separately, however, when I try to install the KB905474 patch, it comes up with a "WgaNotify setup error" problem. Ive tried almost everything but one of these problems keep coming up. Can I get some help? Thanks.

Can you rerun the mgadiag utility and post a fresh report?

What details can you provide regarding the current problem with Windows Update?
