can I select which folder windows explorer opens when I open"My Computer" RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am running W7 OS.

Currently when I open "My Computer" it opens the "Library" folder.

I would rather it started elsewhere. Is there a way to change this?

  • Hold shift and right click on windows explorer icon in the taskbar

    Click properties

Go to shortcut tab and add a space and extra double-quotes( "") at the end in the target box as shown below

Now it will open my computer instead

  • Very Good. Almost there. Now is there a way I can specify the location I'm looking for?

Do I simply put the location within the quotes?

    Guess I'll try it.

    Thanks
