  • Question

So..... i put in a different H>D> and installed Vista on it hoping to transfer evrything over to the new drive so I could retain all the personal things on the original drive, well of course this dosnt work. The new drive is working but of course I cant activate the O.E.M. version, this sux! no support, no tel #, nothing. Can anybody help! I have 2 days left on activation and then Im dead in the water.

  • Hello Motogandy,

Unfortunately you will not be able to use OEM SLP Windows Version because it is tied to the motherboard originally installed with your system. Since you have made an upgrade you will need to purchase either a retail or OEM System Builder version of Vista.

    Take care,
