Problems With Windows Validation

Question
-
Greetings,
I purchased a Thinkpad laptop directly from IBM two years ago. After installing a Windows update recently, I began getting a message telling me that the Windows software on my computer is counterfeit. Strangely, when I used the validation tool found at http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/default.mspx?displaylang=en, my computer passes the validation test. Can anyone tell me how to resolve this problem so that I can continue to receive Windows updates? Thank you!

You're having conflicting file versions on your machine (if you look, one says 540 and another says 530). A simple fix will be to manually reinstall the latest WGA Notifications at http://forums.microsoft.com/Genuine/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=458758&SiteID=25
