Non-genuine issue with Office Pro 2003 RRS feed

  • Dear Dan,

Thanks a lot for your quick reply and insights on my problem.

Your insights bring my attention on something happened a month ago.

I used have two notebook PCs.  At first I installed the Office 2003 on my first PC in 2004,
3 years later my first PC was getting very sluggish and I purchased second notebook (2007)
then installed the Office on 2nd PC.  Since then I have seldom used the Office on my 1st PC.
All my Office work had done on my second PC but I always had updated the Office on both
PCs in case of problem and no non-genuine issue on both PCs untill about 2 weeks ago.

About 4 weeks ago, my 1st PC crashed (not by using the Office but after using Windows Disk
Cleaning utility) and unable to boot it. And about 2 weeks later I noticed the "non-genuine" window
popped up every time I open any of the Office programs on my 2nd PC.

Dan, do you think my 1st PC crash has to do with the non-genuine issue?

Would you advise me your insight on this and what is my option to clear the issue on my 2nd PC.
I am out of work and can't afford another Office and happy with Office 2003.
But I decided to trash my 1st PC because it is too old (7yrs) with XP home edition.

    Appreciated your advise,
