Internet Explorer Issues

For a while I have been ex[eroiencing problems with explorer. When I open explorer and then close the window, or close any pop-pop window open, it inmediately closes (crashes), andd displays the following message:

AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 7.0.6000.16544 ModName: unknown

ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 023c57f9

I have searched everywhere but no success, Any thoughts? thanks
