CRM 2011: Duplicate Queue Entries RRS feed

  • I have a custom entity which is enabled for Queues and a workflow to insert queue items based on some business rules. But the problem here is that the workflow could able to insert duplicate queue items for same record.

    I tried manually also, I could add same record to queue multiple times. I was expecting an error/information message like record already exists in queue but I am not getting that.

    Is there a way to stop the duplicate entries into a queue. I am thinking of writing a custom workflow with inputs as Queue, Record Type and Record Id to check existing item. Please let me know if there is a better way.
