N/AI am sorting out a PC which is being given to a friend - bought by me a few years ago and have tried validating the Windows XP operating system by running various validation tools but each time it states that there is an error and the file has not been uploaded.
Is there a phone number to call to get a validation number?
Can anybody help, please.

You have a number of File Mismatches - which are causing the non-genuine problem.
It looks to me as if the problem is likely to be in the registry, but please start with teh standard files system checks.
CHKDSK
in the Run... box, type CHKDSK C: /F and hit the OK button
a command prompt box may pop up asking you whether you want to dismount the drive - answer N
It will then ask if you want to run the CHDSK on reboot - answer Y
reboot
Once the check has finished, reboot to normal mode - and run
SFC /SCANNOW
You will need the Windows XP disk to hand
Once complete, reboot, and run another mGADiag report.
