Joining Threads does not work properly

    Question

  • Two threads i joined a week ago, are still both listed in the main forum thread view, but both lead to the same thread. So obviously, there is something broken there.

    Thread 1: LINK

    Thread 2: LINK

    Thanks, Denniver

  • Likely just an observation.

This method has always worked for me in the past, I'm surprised it didn't this time.

I highly recommend sending an email into fissues (at) microsoft [dot] com to alert them to this. The forum admins monitor that mailbox much more often than this forum in my experience.

  • I've seen that issue for more than a year. Sometimes if you post a new reply in thread (then you can delete it) then it completes the operation.

  • Are you speaking for the development team or stating a mere observation? :)
As for your suggestion, posting did not help.

  • Just tried it again with a test thread, does not work for me.
I mail em, but maybe let this thread be open for while, though.

    Thanks.

  • No worries, this thread can be kept open as long as you'd like. I've generally found that the admins respond to the emails within a day or so.

Yes, it was an observation. You can also send an email to forums admins.
