Microsoft office non genuine Tried to copy data after buying new software, EASY SOFTWARE CLICK???????????????

Question
-
MS recently told me that my MS office Pro was not genuine,
I bought Genuine Verified Home and student, and Outlook, as I was unaware that my loaded software was pirated.I want to save all my data,
Favorites,
Contacts,
Emails
Documents,
Then import this into my new software.
I cannot find simple instructions to save, delete the non genuine office, and to install the genuine software, with all the Data, that I just bought.
MS DOES NOT MAKE THIS EASY FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN SUPPLIED Non Genuine software without their knowledge to sort the issue out. I have paid a lot of money to Microsoft for the genuine software, and yet
it is almost impossible to Copy files, delete the pirate software, and install the new genuine, software.
You have made a big fuss about this piracy issue, yet little help to ensure its easy for people to upgrade.SO what now? new boxed software, data files on the PC, and no easy way to just click a button.
WHY DO THEY NOT PROVIDE SOMETHING SIMPLE LIKE,
CLICK HERE TO SAVE ALL YOUR DATA FILES,
CLICK HERE TO REMOVE THE PIRATE COPY,
CLICK HERE TO INSTALL THE GENUINE SOFTWARE.Its not our fault that computers we bought had pirated software (were just people not computer experts to get ripped off), and its your obligation to allow people to change easily,
So stop this software hassle and write easy fix software,
My genuine software is in the box yet I cannot use it despite the holograms??????Why not consider that most people only want a computer that works, and not service pack 123423234, or article number 235423423, its beyond most of us.
ITS TIME YOU HELPED
BUT I doubt if you will, more money to be made launching new OS 7 software, that no doubt Office 2008 wont work on Vista.
Totally confused and very frustrated
PLEASE HELP US ALLAlan Santillo

Hello samsplace,
Here is a snippet of your mgadiag report:

Your Outlook 2007 installation is a genuine retail license installation, which is fine.
Your Office Home and Student 2007 is a retail license installation that is reporting as being not yet activated.
To correct this situation:
1. Open an Office H&S 2007 program such as Word 2007. At this point the Activation Wizard should begin and walk you thru activation of Office H&S 2007 online.
2. If the Activation Wizard does not automatically begin, click on the Office button, then Word Options, then Resources. Next click on "Activate [Word][Office]". The Activation Wizard should now be running---follow the prompts to do an automatic online activation.
3. Once activation is complete, restart the computer. Next visit www.microsoft.com/genuine and click on the Validate Office button. Your installation of Office H&S 2007 should validate normally. Close Internet Explorer.
4. Now, open up an Office H&S 2007 program such as Word. You should no longer be seeing any nongenuine notices. Open up the other Office H&S 2007 programs, and your separate installation of Outlook 2007, to double check that all is functioning normally without nongenuine notices.
5. Please post back to let us know your status.

Hello Samsplace,
It is indeed odd that what the tech support people told you to do fixed the problem, because essentially the FixIt does the same thing that you did manually.
The important thing is that we cleared out the old debris from the nongenuine installation and now the genuine installation is up and running and validating as it should.
Thank You for your patience! :-)

All of your data is stored in your individual User Account. Uninstalling Microsoft will not effect your data. Simply uninstall your non-genuine copy of Microsoft Office, then install your genuine copy and you data will automatically become available.

Dear Carey
Thank you for your response,
You were absolutely correct after the removal of the non genuine, and installation of the new software that I bought the data was intact,
BUT after spending all this money, and activating the original software both Outlook and office still say Non genuine,
I wish I had not spent the money, as I still have software that I paid for marked as pirated, where I was before I spent the money?
So what now
MS have the money, but no easy way to solve the problem.

Hello Samsplace,
Although its coming slowly, we are making progress! :-) You were able to get Office H&S 2007 activated and both Office and Outlook are reporting as Genuine.
So the final task is to clear out the remnants from your previous nongenuine installation of Office that are causing the OGA Notifier to continue to report the installed products as nongenuine.
Please refer to this MS KB article http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/919895 and work thru the methods. The first two are usually OK so it shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes to do them. Method 3 usually is the Method that corrects the problem. Choose to run the MS Fix It in Method 3.
After you run the Fix It, restart, and retrace your way thru the previous steps I posted:

Hello Samsplace,
Are you up for one more try? :-)
Please click on the nongenuine notice and look for the "Learn More Online" link. Click that link.
This takes you to an online informational web page regarding Genuine software, etc. It also forces the OGA Notifier Utility to reset, and to recheck the license file for your installed Office. Let the web page be for about a minute, then close all programs and restart.
After restarting, open an Office program and check to nongenuine notices.
If that does not work, then I will give you a link to a page where you can submit a request for free email tech support. If we get this far and have not solved your issue, there is usually something else amiss that is resisting the "quick-fix" stuff we can do here in a forum setting. Better that we turn you over to the tech support people at that point.

Hi Dan
Always up for another try, cant give up on this now.
Unfortunately the last solution did not have the desired effect, so I guess the next step is the link to the techies.
which I would appreciate if you would provide.
I would like to thank you and Carey for your help, and not giving up easily, in fact you have been very persistant in your attempts to solve what should have been a easy fix for new software.
I am not sure how the voting thing works, can I add 1000000 votes to your name.
Hopefully one day I wont see the the Non Genuine message anymore.

Hi Dan
Sorted with Microsoft as follows,
This seems to have stopped the Non Genuine Notices,
Thank you for your help, but wonder why this has been so difficult considering this was genuine software I bought,
There are a lot of people out there who could not have solved this problem given the complexity,
Microsoft should build this into the fix it link that did not work.
Please try the following steps if you have uninstalled the trial and there is no version of office other than Office Home and Student listed there:
Note: Close all the office applications listed there
1. Click on Start-->Start Search-->%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Office Genuine Advantage\data (press enter)
-->Delete all the files which are listed there.
2. Click on Start-->Start Search--> %AllUsersprofile%\Application Data\Microsoft\Office\Data
(press enter)
-->Delete all the files which are listed there.
3. Open Microsoft Word and activate it again as it will prompt you to activate Office.
4. Close Microsoft Word and go to www.microsoft.com/validate and click on Validate Office and it should say "Validation Successful"
I have no idea why this worked, but
Thanks again for your efforts

I forgot to say that the link at the end Of the MS email listed below
www.microsoft.com/validate does not work, I managed to find the correct link,
which was http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate/ValidateNow.aspx?displaylang=en

Dan,
I am so thankful I found this thread. I might have the same problem as "Samsplace".
I am getting the same error messages on everything "This copy of Office is not genuine". (And by the way, clicking online to "learn more" is useless, there is no real help there).
I made the mistake of thinking it was an operating system problem, and today I spent the $199 to upgrade from Vista to Windows 7. As you'd expect, it didn't help me at all. So I've bounced around on hold all day trying to find people who can help me -- and I'm at the end of my rope....
So I recognize I need to upgrade my office software. If I buy a new version of Office 2007, will it correct this problem? I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars more if I'm not sure it will fix the problem, and then wind up having to go through the online refund hassle that I am right now with the other software I just bought..
Plus, I've got tons of data (emails, contacts, calendar items) that I cannot lose if at all possible.
Wouldn't it be easier if users got a follow up message, just to point people to a place where it says, to fix this problem, buy this? Why is this so complicated??
Please help! I work from home and I'm dead in the water...
Thanks,
