Best way ti install/update network driver RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am reinstalling WHS 2011 onto the same hardware after replacing the C drive.

I'm at the point - "Errors occurred during installation - A network driver was not found." I have the motherboard driver disk.

Realtek RTL8111F is the network hardware, Realtek's designation.

I can't figure out how to update the network driver that is not installed. The network driver install method is to run setup.exe. The WHS install won't allow you drop to the desktop so you can get into file explorer. My choices ae "Update driver" or "reboot."

The server was first setup 2-3 years ago and I can't remember, or find my notes, from that installation.

    What am I forgetting?

    Thanks, John
