Windows 7 Ultimate all of the sudden not genuine RRS feed

  • Question

  • Ok. FRUSTRATED. Had PC rebuilt in 2013. Paid for all my software, and the rebuild. Have been super happy since! Then, one morning I wake up to a black background, and 3 pop ups saying that I may be the victim of piracy. With a little note in the bottom left screen that says Windows 7 build 7601 this copy of windows is not genuine.
    WHAT THE WHAT??
This is odd to me, because it happened about 2 weeks after I attempted the free Windows 10 upgrade(just to get rid of the annoying pop up...I was happy with my 7!!!!!!!!)- which failed to install.

I ABSOLUTLY REFUSE to pay money for something I NOT ONLY ALREADY PAID FOR but has worked FLAWLESSLY for 3 years and then decided out of the blue it was "counterfit"

I am hoping someone can help.

attempted to copy paste the diagnostics but got a red notice that I cant post links until my account is verified. sorry :(

  • To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool

(download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )

     Once saved, run the tool.

Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.

To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.x

      - in your own thread, please

Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!
