Installing and Updating CRM through Remote Desktop

Question
-
I know that some programs do not install properly if the installation or updates are done through remote desktop. Are there similar known issues with CRM, i.e. for installing rollups, configuring email router, etc? If not should I still avoid it?
"Bonus" question: Why does it sometimes make a difference if a program is installed/updated through Remote Desktop rather than locally? Isn't the whole point of Remote Desktop to create an environment as if you were on the computer? Would vnc be a better option?

I've installed via remote desktop - HOWEVER, you must be logged into the remote PC as the user who will be using the app. -
If you're using remote desktop, log in as that user - If you're using a screen share, make sure the end-user is logged in and then connect to/share their session.

I've never known CRM to fail to install when using Remote Desktop onto any server or workstation. In fact, I've never known any program to fail to install for this reason.

I have installed CRM (OnPremise) on various remote servers (DEV/TEST/UAT/DR/PROD) using Remote Desktop, haven't had any issues..
