Cached packet has higher loss RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

Currently we have small issue with Sora and would like to hear some advice.

Sora provide cache to store packets to meet the time constraint. For example, the packet does not have too much dynamic such as ACK frame.

However, there is one problem we have encountered and could not understand. The loss ratio for these cache packet is higher than those packets modulated on demand.

One test we have tried is modulate 5000 data packets and transmit according to 802.11a.

We would expect 5000 ACK come back if everything is correct. The problem is that 5000 packets were received on the receiver side and receiver emit ACK accordingly. But, the sender only gets 4920 ACK.

Our question is loss ratio for data packet is like 0%, why ACK loss is around 1% ~ 2%. Does it mean the cached packet tend to have higher loss ratio.
