Fixit Install Vista RRS feed

  • Question

  • My goal is to install Fix it on a computer that cannot connect to internet, in order to fix the internet problem.

    steps taken with Fixit:

(on broken computer) Using Vista x86 that connects to internet, but no programs can access internet. not even updating.

(on working computer) downloaded the files for fix it by extracting the urls from the fixit_run.exe

                                      - FixitCenter_Setup_X86

                                      - Windows6.0-KB928439-x86.msu

    (on broken computer) installed fixit

now stuck with "unable to download troubleshooters..."

I will not be able to use the internet on the broken computer to "download troubleshooters".

Is there another way I can use a separate computer to download the files and USB them over to the bad computer?

specifically the "hardware devices not detected or not working" troubleshooter for vista x86.

i should mention that the computer with internet does not have Fixit and does not meet requirements for installation.

    respectfully,

    nr

  • Hello,

Unfortunately this scenario is not yet supported.  We are working towards including this feature in our next release.  At present, the machine needs to be connected to internet in order to run troubleshooter.
