Where Do I find Visual Basic 6.0 Installer? RRS feed

  • I need to Install Visual Basic 6.0 for My son's practice purpose as per his syllabus. Can anyone provide URL to download Visual Basic 6.0 for Windows 8.0?

    For Visual Basic 6.0 (or Visual Studio 1998) you need licenses. 

    Version 12 (Community Visual Studio 2013) is freeware.

    Also there is no VB6 version for Windows 8.0, it is already a long time outdated you know.

    You can probably easier buy photographic film than that antique VB.

    Visual Basic 6.0 is a very old version and is very difficult to find the installation disks.
    Actually, the only way that I know to get Visual Basic 6.0 is buying a MSDN Subscription.

    I believe there is a copy hanging in the Smithsonian Institution next to ENIAC and an ALTAIR 8800.

    If this is a course that someone paid for, I'd demand a refund, and look for a course in a .Net language.
