Did you install anything other than Live Mesh beta? it sounds very much like you are getting the pop-up from the Windows Live Sign-in assistant. Check your list of installed programs for anything Windows Live. The login prompt for Live Mesh beta did not
specifiy to sign into "Windows Live" - it prompted you to sign into Live Mesh.
If you have Windows Live Mail installed for your email, or Windows Live Photo Gallery for photos, these applications allow you to sign into your Windows Live account for added features from the program. You can turn that off in the program options if you
are not using the added functionality.
What are you specifically doing when the login prompt appears?
