Install CRM with existing database- Report Server initializing Error RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Guys,

I am a new comer to CRM implementation. We had a live CRM site and it got crashed due to some reason. Now we want to reinstall CRM.(Luckily we have database and report backups).

We did format the server and install IIS, SQL server 2005 with reporting services. And did restore all databases as usual.

But when trying to install CRM 3.0, it says reporting server is not configured. And its trying to find http://crm/reportserver webisite which is not existing. How can I create that? if i create in in IIS manually, Will that be a problem?? What should I do??

Please post us a quick reply.
    Thanx in advance.

  • The report server is configured through SQL Server. Look at the Start-All Programs-SQL Server 2005-Configuration Tools-Reporting Services Configuration. Make all the ticks appear and everything should start working.
