Hi Carey, I tried the cmd.exe activation process and I couldnt get past step 5. After I selected yes on step 5, I got a message saying "System error 5 has occurred. Access is denied." What do I do from here? I have also tried the phone activation process 3 times and the recording says that they can't find my activation key.

There is a message on my desktop that says "Windows Vista (TM) Build 6002. This copy of Windows is not genuine. "
There shouldn’t be!reboot – as soon as you can, run another MGADiag report and see if there is anything different about it to the current one.Once the report has been run – does the message still appear? If so, then you may have malware present – download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware from www.malwarebytes.org (free) and install it, update it, (do NOT activate the Real-Time Protection module) and run a quick scan in all your User accounts. – delete everything it finds.

You’re welcome.Running the MGADiag report forces the system to attempt a self-heal of any errors – which is what probably fixed your prior problems. The theory is that it should also then remove the notification, but sometimes this can require a reboot or two, as you’ve found out.Good Luck.
