  • Hi,

Did you add the local user in the AD User on the CRM Server? Once you add it there you can add it in CRM as well.

CRM will identify the all the users of the domain as well as local users added in the ADFS present on the CRM server.

I hope this should resolve your issue. In case you find any difficulty, let me know with details.

    Thanks & Regards,

  • CRM users cannot be local users; they have to be AD users, in a domain that is trusted by the domain in which the CRM server is installed

  • Hi,

As David said, the users have to be a part of the domain - either on the local server domain or another server domain. Since your AD server is not a local domain, then you need assistance of the person who can create a dummy user in the AD that you may use in the CRM.

    Thanks & Regards,

  • Hi Anubhav Bajpai,

There's no AD in our CRM Server. AD of the organization is hosted on a separate server in which i have no access. The user i used in installing CRM Dynamics 2011 only have minor rights in modifying AD settings. Does that mean i won't be able to create a user which is not a member of any domain?

    Thank you for the support.

    Regards,

    Honey

  • Hi David and Anubhav Bajpai,

Thank you for the support and verification in creating users for CRM. I guess i need to ask our admin to create the dummy user. Thanks again.
