windows media connect is not updating files RRS feed

    I installed windows home server many months ago now.  I copied some video files and created several directories at this time.  I then started the media sharing on the server couple days later. All those directories and files play and are viewable by both my ps3 and win 7 64 machine.

    I then over time have added directories and videos within those same directories but none of them appear if i connect through the windows media connection.

    If i connect through another dlna server hosted by the whs eg: ps3 media server, i can sell all the files.

     

    It seems like whs is not updating the windows media sharing library.  Is this a known issue and is it fixable?

    I have tried turning off and on media sharing but this does not update the library either.   Some files have been in the directories now for at least 5 months and have not moved for that time.

    Are your files of types supported by Windows Media Connect 2.0 and your devices? If not, they generally won't appear.
    I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
