how do i reset a found virus in one care RRS feed

  • Question

  • my computer found a virus, a trojan downloader, the program asked me what I wanted to do, I thought I told it to delete the virus, but after it completed the action it said that it was going to ignore the trojand(that is one of the options to pick) how do I go into the program and reset the virus setting to delete?

  • I don't exactly know, since I've never chosen ignore. So, I'll guess that by selecting Ignore, that you actually placed the infected file in the Exclusions list in OneCare's settings. Open OneCare, click on Change Settings, go to the Virus and Spyware tab and then click on the exclusions button. If any files have been added there, you can remove them from the list. Then run another scan. When OneCare prompts for action, choose another action.

If I'm completely wrong, then support is the way to go.
