Are Vista 64 bit & 32 bit comapatible with each other in OneCare Circle on different machines? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I just purchased a new PC & was unable to re-activate my Live OneCare on the new one, so I bought a new copy. Now I cannot share information with my laptop in the circle. It is recognized but no dat sharing. Is this because the laptop is operating on Vista 32 bit Home Edition while the PC is now using Vista Ultimate 64 bit?  Are the two not compatible???

  • You may be using an older CD to install One Care. Go to the One Care Homepage and download the trial - http://onecare.live.com/standard/en-us/3/default.htm

To activate open One Care, select "Subscribe" and when asked for a Live ID enter the Live ID and password associated with your One Care subscription. Your subscription status will be recognized and One Care will activate. If this is the first time you are installing One Care see this Microsoft Knowledge Base article on how to activate One Care - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935899
