  • For christmas I plan on getting 4gigs of ram, a new grafix card, a new mother board, and a new processor, I just realized I have a OEM version of XP and im extremely worried that i will have to buy xp agian... is there anyway I won't have to buy XP or vista agian? Also, When I bought my computer, I never got an XP disk, is there any way to obtain one, sence I already have the software.

  • OEM versions of Windows XP can only be installed on the originally computer it was originally installed and activated on.  If you change the motherboard to a different model, the OEM license is no longer valid and you'll need to purchase a new license.
