Hi, I've been having major issues for the labs in the new course 2261 (the one without the assessment at the end.) The lab guides are overly vague, which makes them impossible to do without using the detailed lab guides, which kind of defeats the purpose of doing the labs, since they give you step by step instructions on what to do. For example, task 3 of the lab Troubleshoot Domain Logon Issues is:
Task 3: Introduce the problem.
- Introduce the problem.
Result
You have introduced the problem.
Without looking at the detailed lab guide, this means nothing. If you look at the detailed lab guide, it tells you exactly what to do step by step, which defeats any learning purpose. The basic lab guide should say something like "Run the file 2261_Lab03_Ex1.exe located in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Learning\2261\Labfiles\Lab03"
A more serious issue is that several of the labs are broken. The only example I can give you right now, because I'm looking at it, is the same lab listed above (Troubleshoot Domain Logon Issues). The unit Bonn3 is not connected to the network (ipconfig says the network cable is disconnected, and so does the network icon in the system tray), so even if you follow the lab directions step by step, it doesn't work, because the unit can't connect to the domain over the network. It's very frustrating not being able to do these labs. Please help!
