How do you fix this problem? (invalid product key) RRS feed

  • Question

  • When we try to log onto the computer (we have Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007, which was bought legally from the store at the time of which we bought the computer) a message pops up telling us "The Windows Vista Home Premium product key you typed is invalid for activation" then lists three options. Either "Access your computer with reduced functionality", "Type a different product key" or "Contact Hewlett-Packard Company to help resolve this problem". I have tried all three options and attempted to type in the valid product key that came with the office home package we bought but it says that it is invalid. How would one go about fixing this problem, and is there a way to do so without having to buy a new Windows product?
