Compromised hotmail account

  Hi

  Yesterday a series of unpleasant emails were sent from my email address to everyone in my contact list and also I think to anyone who has sent me emails (including junk mails) or been in a copied email to me.

  I went into my account and have changed the password. Please advise how this happened and how I can prevent a repetition and what else I have to do now.

  All the emails were sent at around 4:27pm (I don't know what time zone) and had a number in the title.
