How to create Customer in crm 2011 RRS feed

  • Hi ,

    i have a new requirement that

    create a new form to key in NEW customer name , mobile and ph num, select the property they wish to buy and

    select status booked/ blocked/sold  based on customer option .

    here, the customers are not existing LEAD.they are new..eg: they just made a call and enquire so the details are keyin in this form.

    If the property is consider sold then this customer need to get converted to customer in CRM...how can i do that?

    Any help will be appreciated.

  • You can done this in three easy step:

    1. Create custom entity with your required fields.

    2. In ribbon add custom button as qualified.

    3. On ribbon button click write javascript code to create an customer with detail specified in your custom form.

    and make this record and button disable so no one again create customer from same form.

    You can simply create a new custom entity on the base line of lead.

    Create a optionset field 'status' in that entity and provide your options there.

    Create a workflow process, which you can activate on the update of the record of that entity.

    This workflow can check the value of status field and can create the customer record.

    You can set the properties of that customer record with in the workflow itself.
