Server Side Sync and Outlook Tracking Options Issue RRS feed

  • Question

  • CRM 2013 UR2 On-Premise with Exchange 2013 / Outlook 2013 / Windows 8.

When an email is tracked using ServerSide Sync the icon in Outlook doesn't change to show its been tracked, the button to [View in CRM] stays greyed out so it looks like the email hasn't been tracked, once you try and manually track it the buttons become useable again. Using the standard [Microsoft Dynamics CRM Outlook] to track email automatically does this but server side sync doesn't so the user cant see if its been tracked or not.

Has anyone else come across this? or know of a work around?

    Thanks

    Pete

Answers

  • When using Server Side sync and setting the option to track all email within personal options, received emails do not change the Track button, this causes the View in CRM buttons to not get enabled within the command bar.

  • I've got exactly the same problem - did you figure this one out in the end?

  • Supposedly its being fixed in UR2 for CRM 2013 SP1, so assume it might be in CRM 2015 already
