    Could someone elaborate the following statement found on many blogs?


    ...“Other new telephony features include... and SIP trunking direct from the OCS 2007 Mediation Server to the ITSP (PSTN and Cellular networks) without need for a premises SBC....”

    For Microsoft OCG, “SIP Trunking” is the use of SIP and RTP to pass telephony traffic from the enterprise network edge to a network service provider over an IP connection (i.e. without traversing TDM or circuit networks).
