    hi all,
    I received the WU notification to update my Office 2007 installation with "The 2007 Microsoft® Office Suite Service Pack 2 (SP2)".
    I got the installation executed on all the local WinXP and Vista machines, but on my personal Win 2003 R2 it keeps failing..
    the Office page to check for updates (http://office.microsoft.com/it-it/downloads/alreadyinstalled.aspx) states the failing machine is updated to  "Microsoft® Office Compatibility Pack Service Pack 2 (SP2) (versione in italiano)" but WU keeps claiming "The 2007 Microsoft® Office Suite Service Pack 2 (SP2)" is still not installed (as it actually should as it always fails)
    I even locally downloaded the package to check for eventual web install corruptions, with no aid..
    accessing, for instance, my Excel installation, I obviously get
    Microsoft Office Excel 2007 (12.0.6341.5001) SP1 MSO (12.0.6425.1000) references...

    the MAINWWsp2_MSPLOG.LOG file indicates
